KLog 2.5 by EA4K is a cross-platform logging application designed for licensed amateur-radio operators who need to record, organize and export on-air contacts from short-wave to microwave bands. Built with Qt, the program opens directly onto a searchable QSO table that automatically populates fields such as date, UTC time, frequency, mode, callsign, RST sent/received, band, power and grid locator; built-in dupe checking prevents duplicate entries while real-time award tracking highlights progress toward DXCC, IOTA, WAS, WAZ and VUCC milestones. Because KLog keeps its database in standard SQLite format, users can move the same logbook between Linux, macOS and Windows workstations without conversion, and the integrated LoTW, eQSL and Clublog interfaces can upload or download confirmations in a single click. Contesters benefit from Cabrillo and ADIF import/export, serial-number auto-increment, off-time calculation and a summary score sheet, whereas field operators appreciate the optionalrig-control window that reads frequency and mode from radios supported by Hamlib. Since version 1.0 the project has evolved through six feature releases, adding satellite logging, CW keying via Winkey or CAT, dark themes, translations to fifteen languages and an embedded world map that colors countries by worked/confirmed status. The logger also generates custom statistics, exports labels for QSL cards and produces backup files that can be encrypted for privacy. KLog 2.5 is available for free on get.nero.com, with downloads provided via trusted Windows package sources (e.g. winget), always delivering the latest version, and supporting batch installation of multiple applications.
